Newtonmore is in the Cairngorm National Park at the
junction of the A9 Perth to Inverness road and the A86 to Fort William. Balvatin Cottages are at the southern end of the Newtonmore
on the village approach road.
Steading 5 is a few minutes walk from the railway station and Citylink
bus stop. The shops, bars, restaurants and cafes located in the Main Street of Newtonmore are all within fifteen minutes
walk of the cottage.

Newtonmore has a regular service from Edinburgh, Glasgow and London on the main line to Inverness. The
station is less than half mile from Steading 5. The overnight sleeper from London makes a stop in Newtonmore several

By air
The nearest airport is Inverness. The airport is used by Easyjet, Ryanair, British Airways, British
