nearby car park allows easy access or a short pleasant walk from Kingussie main street.
Landmark Forestry Theme Park in Carrbridge is an excellent
day out. Exciting rides, interactive demonstrations of forestry plus a high level walkway will keep children young and
old busy for a whole day.

Strathspey Steam Railway is based in Aviemore and travels along the Spey valley to Broomhill
station. Special events including sunset dining and Sunday lunches are run throughout the year.
Sheepdog demonstrations at Leault Farm in Kincraig take place in the afternoons. Times
can vary according to the time of year.
The Cairngorm Reindeer Centre at Glenmore, Aviemore allows you get up close to the herd of reindeer and visit
them in their natural habitat on the Cairngorm mountain.

Clan MacPherson Museum is situated five minutes walk from the Steading in the Main Street
of Newtonmore. It has extensive exhibits detailing local history and the history of the MacPherson Clan.

Less than a mile from the cottage, the Highland Folk museum is well worth
a visit. Fantastic view of Highland Life with exhibits for all ages. Allow at least 3 or 4 hours to see all the attractions.
A vintage bus takes you around the mile long site visiting a huge collection of historical buildings.

Situated in the centre of the village is the Aqua Theatre. A
popular light and water show is performed hourly to music.

The Highland Wildlife Park is a short drive away in Kincraig. Open
all year, seeing the wolves and safari drive are a "must do" for families. It is part of Edinburgh Zoo and has a strong conservation
theme. There is a great cafe and very friendly staff.
